a ja bym nie bral tych powerbitów. ale to tylko moja oponia. To są korby alu, fakt znane i chwalone w świecie bmx. Korby alu mtb sie nie umywają. Na kwadrat, ale inaczej montowany oś. 22mm dużo większa niz w mtb, inaczej w krorbie kwadrat wycięty (obrocony o 45stopni). Nie jest klinem, nie zedzie sie.
Ale teraz są w sprzedaży hollowbite :)

przytoczę po angielsku różne opinie o Primo POWERBITE. Nie mówie ze są złe, sam chcialbym spróbować!
"I really liked the cranks and did not understand why so many people were not stoked on them.
"After about 2 months, the reasons became more and more apparent. First thing was the pinch bolt on the bottom side of the crank was nailed on screwed up grinds so many times it was mangled beyond being able to fit a allen wrench in there. This also applies to the crank: every failed grind meant the crank got worked more and more. Finally, the crank took it hard. A failed feeble to smith left my pedal on the ledge and a nice stripped out pedal boss. Aluminum for ya. Luckily I was able to return the busted arm to Primo and get a brand new one. A few months later, the other arm striped out. That time Primo wanted me to send both arms."
"Turns out that all the first cranks were annodized incorrectly and this messed up the threading, making it weaker. All the broken cranks that came in were black, red and blue. Bare and polished, so Primo figured it out, fixed it, and now has people sending back both arms trying to eliminate all the old cranks. (Don't send your crank if it has not broke yet) Also, I was incredibly stoked to find out that my new crank arms are tapped for a sprocket bolt on the left arm as well as the right!!"
"One thing that's a little bit iffy about them is the pinchbolts. Some sets tend to strip out or the arm strips out (it happened to my friend), but most sets are fine. Even if you do encounter this problem, if you contact Primo and tell them, they'll hook you up with a new arm or whatever you need because they know that they had a few rough batches go out. So if you're in the market for a new crank, and ride heavy street, I'd strongly suggest the Primo Powerbites"
"Primo has redone the Powerbite crank, and it now has steel inserts on the threads, a heat treated hollow 7/8" spindle (it was solid and heavy as hell before), and made it into the lightest crank on the market"
"Well,things have gone quite well til I realized that the sprocket bolt hole was ovalized and stripped. Thinking the cranks were dead, a friend of mine's (thanks banzer) genius dad took them and tapped them for a larger size. With some slight sprocket modification it worked and are still going strong"

Z tego co słychać o pękaniu korb- srebrne nie pękały :) pozatym to stare wersje pękały, nie wiadomo które są w Polsce. Firma Primo jako dobra firma, wszystkie darmowo wymieniała. Nowe nie pękały już wcale.
Interesujące sa 2 rzeczy:
- jakie łozysko, czy metryczne 22mm średnicy wewnętrznej, czy 7/8" calowe czyli 22.2mm To wazne bo calowych łozysk u nas nie ma. A maetryczne 22 jest mało popularne. Wiem że można wyrwać po 20zł, ale ostatnio Ktoś szukał i kupił w końcu po 60zł/sztuka. Zwykłe bmx 20mm dla porównania po 8-12zł.
Druga sprawa to interesuje mnie jaka jest śrubka pod dysk w ramieniu. Nie wiem jak w Primo, ale narazie w każdych korbach które miałem śrubki były zpłaskim łebkiem (by nie wsytawały do środka i nie haczyły o ramę) - ale przez to miały płytkioe gniazdko i klucz mi zawsze wyskakiwał predzej czy póxniej. Odsuwałem ramie o 4mm dalej od ramy i wrzucalem porządna srubę 12.9 z wielkim łbem :) Ale jak tam są calowe śruby, to u nas nie ma w Polsce zamienników, tu jest wszystko metryczne. Jakie primo- tego nie wiem.

szczerze- bardzo chciałbym spróbować. Wszystko przez tych "gupich" ;) bmx-arzy, ciągle jak przejeżdżam kołonich słysze jak szepczą w konspiracji magiczne słowo "primo" a czasem i "powerbite". Mają wtedy skoncentrowane twarze które mówią co jest dosc dziwne, że alu, tak: aluminium mimo intnienia i królowania 4130 cro-mo sie nadaje !!!
